Blue Yeti Microphone | Unbox, Review (mainly opinions from a female beginner)

Ehlo guys, tis D-TTO :)
About two weeks ago, I placed my order for this Blue Yeti Microphone which can be hardly seen on the rack of the stores in Malaysia. This is precisely the best one I think I could get. A friendly guy here, Mohd Sobri sells these at the price of RM550 in Forum Lowyat. He said to place deposit of RM50 then later you can choose to either bank-in then he post it to you OR c.o.d .

I got this today via COD and he's really a friendly guy :)
(I have to admit that, holding RM500 in a public place is quite scary especially when the crowd is so big due to the Comic Fiesta event placed in KL Convention Centre.
First thing I did when I saw him was to quickly stuff the money to his hand before it disappeared from my palm or pocket aaaaaaaaaaaaaand I kinda scared him XD
Sorry, Sobri :/)

So let's get to the point, as you can see from the picture below, this is how the box looks like.
(I was cleaning the whole room and this space of the table is for reviewing product.
I thought makeup products would be the first buuuuuuuuuut it was the mic instead XD)

When I first get my hands on the whole thing, it was heavy.
Sobri kinda warned me that it's heavy but I was like "Pft, no biggie, I had worse when I was 7."
Although this is not even close to what I've experienced but it is heavier than I expected.
My sister jokingly said it may be a rock inside instead of a mic hahahhaha
This is how the back of the box looks like.
Down there is the chart of the functions built in the mic.
Although there's an upgraded version of this mic but many would still prefer to get this instead of that. I mean, you're spending a few more ten DOLLARS, not ringgit, for just not too much of changes. Well, you can kinda do a little research about the differences between them.

I swear, these are the cutest yeti that I've ever seen!

Removed from the box and there's another box :D
So let's open it :)

First thing you will see is a simple manual book and also the usb cord of the mic.

Then, after taking it out from the box, this is the last layer of the 'protection'.

YAY THE MIC!
Look at how gorgeous it is!
(Although it said silver version but it's a bit more brown-er than I thought...)

Some small detail..

What you're seeing here is how the front and the back sides of the microphone looks like.

You must be curious about the functions (if you haven't do any research on this product)
The chart shows that each function has different ways to record.
It's either you want it to record only in one direction, two directions, maybe three directions and lastly, four directions.

I was really tired but testing it out really excites me :D
I MUST say that this mic does a lot better than my previous mic, at least 60% better.

Volume: Loud, even when the system volume for mic is at 18.
Clarity: Clear. Sounds that are very small and hardly heard by naked ears can be recorded.
Pro: Multi-function that allows you to use this in a very convenient way, loud and clear, able to plug in and adjust volume for headphones, mute-button, detachable.
Con: Too sensitive, hard to look for shockmount, slightly too heavy, easily picking up other noises if without tools like voice absorber.

So, that's basically how I think of it.
I just got it for less than 24hours, so maybe there might be some other comments about this mic.
But I think I would keep using this for a long time.

If you happen to plan to buy this and you're worried not because the mic doesn't suit you, don't be, because to me, he is quite trustworthy. I mean, he came all the way from WangsaMaju with his bike to KLCC just to hand me the microphone and wanted to handshake me first.
I think he recognise me as the green-eyed one because I was wearing my contact lenses while meeting him up hahahha

That's all for today, enjoy your day! :)

Haul 08122013 | Less than RM150 for 6 items

Ehlo guys, it's me D-TTO again.

So, few days back I've finally finished my exams and I'm preparing for college so I'm currently taking a break which I know you'll be thinking like: OMG. TEEN GIRLS. SHOPPING. HAVE FUN. FDNJAOGIOD...

but no.
I decided to get myself another mic, Blue Yeti, which costed me RM550 and I'm nearly broke. Seriously. But I think it's worth it tho since I will be doing covers and all that for a long time.

Now, back to the topic. I'm currently in the saving-money mode but Chinese New Year is around the corner! Which means, I have to get new clothes! So while saving money, I have to spend money, wisely, and there's one place which I find the products are in decent price and decent quality (which can be competed with F21, H&M, etc).

Here are 5 of what I got from Brands Outlet.
To be honest, I'm shocked that the quality are so comfy.
P/S: They even sprayed some perfume on their clothes, which, even after washing, the smell is still there <3

RM19.90 per skirt.. but this is a BUY ONE FREE ONE!!

   Stripe-shorts RM39.90 + Khaki colour shorts RM29.90 + Khaki long skinnies RM39.90.

I have to say, I love how the long pants feels when I slid my legs in (kinda sounds wrong.. but), it's sooooo soft and comfy!

Then I also got myself some Forever 21 Make Up Brush set for

RM19.00.
This is my second set because if you look at the comparison picture down below, you'll see that one has a concealer brush and another has a lip brush, which is different.
And I need some brushes while hanging out outside :3

The pants are really comfortable but compare to the prices in H&M and F21, this is more affordable for an average person. Of course, Brands Outlet has limited choices compared to that two fashion brands.
I wanted to get some top wears but I reached my budget,so ..

As for the make up brush, for a beginner like me, it's affordable and right what you need to use. The bristles are synthetic instead of animal fur and appears to be quite soft, for a beginner like me.

And all of a sudden, I feel like modelling.

Beware.
The following content may damage your eyes (LOL)
Please ignore if you don't like it.
Thank you.

I'm using this shirt I got from Forever 21 to model *double cough* the bottom wears.
(Modelling skill, lvl negative)

All rights to me, D-TTO Mah only, and if you wanna use these photos, I'll advice you not to.
'Cause there are plenty more pretty girls who can model better out there. ;)
and no one paid me to do this.

Everything here is just RM148.60 :)
That's all for today.
Enjoy your day.

NYX Mortal Instruments Parallel Worlds Box Set | Unbox, Review, Test on skin

Ehlo guys, this is D-TTO :)

Yesterday, I went to Sephora @ Sunway and felt surprised to see NYX's Mortal Instruments The Parallel Worlds Box Set and we all know that before we buy the cosmetics, we'll try them on skin and then decide if it's worth the price.

But it is considered CHEAP for this box set at the moment because Sephora Malaysia sell it for RM99 retail price which right now they are having promotion at RM65! Converting the price from NYX Official Website to Malaysia Ringgit, it's $25 into RM81. Sephora sell it at RM99 not only for the product but maybe also the shipping, tax fee and all those additional cost BUT NOW THEY ARE SELLING AT RM65!!!

Aaand I grabbed one home :)

Before we start, you can watch this brief review of this product :)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UkgolULiABg&feature=youtu.be

Let's get started! :D
Let's start from looking at the box. They have their company's name on it and also I love the packaging, I still keep it and never throwing it away.

When you take the packaging out, this is what they wrote on the inside.

So this ball here is detachable which means when you get the box and it's loose, just tighten it up

When you open the box, you'll see the look book first :)

______________

So here's the stuffs from the inside! So excited already!

_
So let's start with the most attractive one -Eyeshadows!
As you can see here, it has 6 colours.
If you buy this separately, it will be $7.

(Click to see the detail about it )

_
Let's test it on the skin~
I'm using both my last two fingers instead because I'm afraid to dirt the camera :/
And I don't think these colours have names, too.

Second one will be the blush :D
This is in the colour "Pinched", which is a colour that I would LOVE because it's almost the same colour to when you're really blushing without all those makeups.

Buying separately at the price of $5

It is shaped 3D pyramid shape, so it means that it's not in multiple shades but only one.

Skin test~
(Click to see the detail about it )

______________
Starting from here, the skin test will be done together at ones :)
______________

_
Third one will be the Mascara :D
Honestly, I really don't know how to pronounce the name but.. oh well hahaha
This one is in the collection of Boudoir Mascara Collection and it's code is BMC01.

Buying separately at the price of $6

(Click to see the detail about it )

_
Forth one will be the Lip Cream :D
I like this colour and it's in Istanbul.

Buying separately at the price of $6

(Click to see the detail about it )

_
Fifth item will be the Studio Liquid Liner in black :D
This is my first liquid liner with a wand. I usually prefer pens.

Buying separately at the price of $4.50

(Click to see the detail about it )

_
The last one is the Jumbo Eye Pencil and honestly, I think I need to revisit Sephora..
I need a sharpener!
This is in the colour Cashmere but for me, it's not so.. visible.. But I still like it :)

Buying separately at the price of $4.50

(Click to see the detail about it )

_____________________________________

Skin test~!
(Awesome if you know what I wrote on the back of my hand :D )

As you can see here, I used them to draw on my hand accordingly.
Pictures were taken with different position and angles.

Here's what I don't like about it:
-The liner needs about 1 minute or 2 to dry and that's the part I don't like it.
-The lip cream is a little watery.
-The eye pencil is not so obvious enough.
-The mascara takes about a minute or two to dry and it's not water or smudge proof like the liner.

______________

I also did a makeup removing test with them.

Products were lined according from "very hard to remove" to "very easy to remove".
1. Lip Cream and Mascara
2. Eye Pencil
3. Liquid Liner
4. Eyeshadows and blusher

Conclusion: The items are beginner-friendly, especially with the price of RM65. The total price to buy separately will be in $33 which is at least RM107. The set also has almost everything a beginner needs. Grab it now if you love it before it's too late!!
