FACE-SIZED BIG PALETTE! | Brief review for Zoeva | Mini Luxola Haul

Hi guys!
After 5 days placing my order, my stuffs from Luxola finally came!
It's pretty quick, to be honest, 'cause they are from Singapore and FREE SHIPPING FOR ANY ORDER OVER RM40!

So it was International Women's Day when I placed my orders and they allow buyers to use the 25% discount on all the normal price and SALE ITEMS!

I got two things from Luxola.
One is the Zoeva Face Contour Palette and
one is the Zoeva Graphic Eyes + Nude Reflection.

I'M JUST SO EXCITED TO GET THESE THINGS
especially when I saw how BIGGG the palette actually is!
At first, I was thinking that the palette would be as big as an average size of hand.
BUT when I went back to check out if the palette was out-of-stock (which it is), I saw the measurements written on the detail page and I. WAS. SHOCKED.
Apparently a size of a pan was SIX POINT TWO CM BIG!

The original price was RM84, then after a 45% discount it went to RM 46.
With the Int Women's Day discount, I got the palette at the price of RM34.50.

So, here is the palette out of the box :)

The surface of the palette gets dirty pretty easily especially when my fingers (after dabbed on the powders) touched it.

The back of my palette also has this 'scar' :(
I'm just gonna pretend that this is just part of the design.

I did swatches on my arm and the colours aren't strong enough.
But I think it's good enough especially for people with fair skin.
Mine is slightly yellowish so it will be a bit difficult for me to use.
Starting from my wrist, it began with the
white, light beige, warm pink, fair beige, dark brown and pink.

If you'd like to know how big it really is, here is a picture of the palette next to a normal-sized novel (obsession with The Shadowhunter Chronicle is too strong) and also a metal ruler.

Next up:
I got this Zoeva Graphic Eyes + Nude Reflection for RM18 after a 25% discount (Normal Price: RM24)

I love how they design it.
The surface texture of the cap and the pencil is different and it gives an elegant kind of feeling.

They claim that the pencil is waterproof.
I did a small test with fast-running water (after recording my video) aaand it is
BUT
it's not smudge-proof so when you wipe it, the colour will be wiped off.

After that I did the glide-test.
It is smooth and when you apply it, you do NOT need much force for strong pigmented colour.

And here's a close-up of the pen :)

I am very satisfied with this order! :D
I cannot tell you comments like professionals because I still consider myself as a beginner.
But with that few tests on my face and hand, I feel that these products are really worth the price.

(especially when they were from Germany!)

You can watch my video about it here :)
That's all for today.
Bai :D

Review | Sleek MakeUp

Hey guys :)
So I was kinda wandering around the internet and then I finally brought myself to a website called Luxola, which I have been preventing myself from going in because I thought the price is something like Lazada and Zalora.... SCARY!

But no.
I found some of the products pretty affordable, like, I go to the View All Makeup page and clicked the sorting to 'lowest price' and then the lowest price was RM15.

So lets get back to the topic.

I found a brand called Sleek with prices like NYX (around like that) and I went to Youtube to check on the reviews. (Youtube is such a reliable site to check reviews ;) ) Turns out that a LOT of Beauty Youtubers love their products very much. This Youtuber here did a review for their 6 eyeshadow palettes, 5 Brushes and a Face palette and I think that her opinions are honest enough for you to consider whether to buy them or not. Another Youtuber also bought the palettes and some other things like mascara, lip gloss, etc. (This is not a promoting session, so no worries.)

Now because I wanted to compare the prices of their products that you could get here in Malaysia, I also went to Maqup and Colours Cosmetics to check out the prices and this is what I found.
_____________________________________________________________
Here is a list from low to highest. (For Sleek)
  • Prices: Maqup, Colours Cosmetic, Luxola
  • Amount of Products: Colour Cosmetic, Maqup, Luxola
*Additional Info:
  • Free Shipping for a certain amount: Luxola[RM40], Maqup and Colour Cosmetic[RM150]
The list up there is an "average" result, which means some of the products in Maqup may be a lot more expensive in Luxola or Colour Cosmetic.
_____________________________________________________________

So, I watched 3 full videos, one from 2011, two from 2014. Then a conclusion that I got was that the Youtubers love this i-Divine Storm Eyeshadow Palette very much.

They think that the colour is "very/super super pigmented" and "creamy" enough. A lovely thing about it is that you can create a night look or even a day look with it, which is pretty convenient. For the size, they claim that it's "sleek, just like their brand's name Sleek." In Luxola, they sell it RM51.50 but if you want to by a set of two different palettes, or three, they have it too, with a cheaper price. Let's say you wanted to buy a Storm palette with a Natural one, they have it at the price of  RM 95.

I'm definitely going to get one of their products, especially eyeshadow, but that will have to wait until I finish my eyeshadows, like, I still have about 60 eyeshadows, more than 10 colours of lip gloss and about 10 colours of eyeliner with 2 rarely-used mascara.

But I don't have things like bronzer, highlights and primer.
So my focus when to this one:

It is a Face Contour Kit with a bronzer and and a highlighter. This picture shows a 'Light' version of it and it's currently out of stock in Luxola so I couldn't buy it yet. Luxola has tons of choices of products, that I want, currently out of stock and I'm kinda disappointed but I could wait :)

So one of the Youtubers said that it 'is very pigmented and the colour is too dark for my skin, I should have gotten the Light one instead of Medium. " She also thinks that the highlighter is kinda shimmery but it's not so... glittery?

But yeah, pretty much a favourite of hers :)

Some of the Youtubers claimed that Sleek is a highly requested product to be reviewed because, well I think that, they find it cheeky and the price was surprisingly affordable.
But GAAAAAH I can't buy them yet because it would be a waste of money if I did as I rarely use makeup in my daily life. It just feels inappropriate to wear makeup often when you're not really needing it.

And many people would judge you, of course. Sighh I really dislike those people.
But anyways, I'll be checking out the brand Zoeva pretty soon from now(because that's the name of my little sister) and maybe I'll share with you the conclusion of what I found.

Until then, I'll 'see' ya soon ;)

*I affiliated with the website so the links are affiliate links but I'm still not paid to do this, so no worries.*

DIY | Book cover with Shadowhunter Runes

Hello guys :D
Today, I wanna share with you a mahstahpeese of mine AND I LOVE IT SO MUCH!

I had hours to waste until I get my bumbum into college and I thought
"Hey, why not make something to show off in college?"
Well, maybe not showing off because some bullies may come to me and say "Hey, freak. What's that in your hand, princess tattoo?" or "Hey cult, done with your satanic practise?" aand then laugh.

Now, I'm not saying that there ARE bullies who did bully me, but, you'll never know, right

So I recently just remembered that my sister stuffed two bags of recycle goods into my room.
One is a bag of used books and one is a bag of tore-off-papers-from-books.
Then in one of the bags, I found two hardcover school notebooks and I thought I could use it for college
......
BUT NOT WITH THE ODD COVER!

So I kinda rummaged my stuff and found a black manila paper.
I was having a headache about the cover and I even went to the Type online store page to see if I could make something like theirs BUT the runes popped out and
TAAADAAAAA
my very own Black Book!

Now the shadowhunters have the Gray Book with informations about the Runes but I'm just a shadowhunter-wannabe so I won't need the descriptions in the book.
What I need is, THE RUNESSSSSSSSSS.

I basically had the front cover of the book with runes arranged to my name.
By that, I mean that the runes that look like my name.

Then, I had the back cover with the remaining runes that I found in a 22 rune chart.
Soon later, I found some other runes in ShadowhunterWiki and
I TOTALLY REGRETTED NOT VISITING THAT PAGE *cries a sea*

psssst. if you noticed, the Mourning rune is in white and Wedded Union is in gold.
others are in silver, by the way. :3

So because my experience with hard manila and glue is not so... good, I decided to use hot glue since I'm so in love with it these days.
(check this Just Hot Glue Angelic Rune Ring if you haven't :D)
It holds the paper pretty perfectly, by the way.

If you're wondering what's with the extra glued paper at the top of the cover, it's because I had the design very wrongly.
I should have just leave it blank but my hands were itchy and I wrote
IN THE NAME OF
RAZIEL
with very ugly handwriting.

Then at the side, I wrote SHADOWHUNTER because it doesn't look nice without anything.

This DIY took me about 4 hours of sketching and painting with paint markers.
I had 2 silver markers and 2 gold markers for the filling up.
I also had 1 of each silver and gold for the writing.
Sketching takes me about 3 hours and painting it is just a very simple task but it's easy to overfill the lines :/

So basically, that's what I did to my one and only left manila paper.
Yeeaaah, I know my drawing sucks but at least I love how it looks like from far hahahha
I know I've been pretty crazy about Shadowhunter Chronicles lately, but I must say, I love that chronicle by Cassandra Claire very much!

Also, about me selling Angelic Rune rings, earrings and necklaces; my stock is being dispatched at the moment and it may take about 2 to 4 weeks to reach.
I know.. I know.. it sucks!
But I'll make an announcement here once I got my website set up.
Again, I'm only selling to Malaysians because I suck at international shipping :/

Thanks for reading and have a great day!

DIY | Angelic Rune Ring with just hot glue!

From my previous post, you'll find out that you can actually make a crafty item just with hot glue. HOT GLUE and nothing else :D

So for this tutorial, I am just making something that is pretty easy, of course you can choose to make other designs but it may not be as easy as this one :3

So because I'll be getting my ring from a seller pretty soon, I'm not gonna be serious in this tutorial. I'll just give you a rough idea so that you can do it in your way.

I didn't take any pictures but here's a video for you :)

Hot Glue does not stick to what kind of surfaces?

Lately, I've been doing nothing and then one day, I found a video and I was inspired by the Youtuber, Aodhamair's project. (She doesn't know that, tho, so it's not a promoting thing.)

Hot Glue can be such a wonderful thing to be used in Crafty Art. You can use it to do different things such as masquerade masks, accessories, etc. However, it is pretty sticky and most of the things do stick to it.

Hot Glue, like the name, is designed to stick things via a glue gun. It needs heat so that it could be melted and then be used. Therefore, you need either a battery or electricity in order to use it.  But because it is burning hot, plastic stuff that is used as 'moulds' cannot be used as they will melt and stick with the hot glue itself.

Therefore, I did a little research on google. I find a few people claiming what the hot glue won't stick to and some of them are easy to get in the kitchen. Answers like kitchen foil(aluminium foil), wax paper, baking paper and even sticker paper were listed out.

With these answers, I did a little experiment with the following 4 materials and also with a clear file just to prove if they are right or wrong.

Most of them were wrong.

Yes, some papers are designed for the heat but not all can get rid of the stickiness of the glue.
The only one that allows the cooled Hot Glue to be peeled out with just liiiiiittle strength and no shape-changing is............... the baking paper! :D

If you don't believe me, here's a video to prove my conclusion :)
