Review| Palmer's No Blade Brush On Face Hair Remover & Shea Butter Formula

On my previous post, I talked a bit about Hirsutism, a medical sign that refers to women having excessive hair on parts where they shouldn't have like the neck, back, tummy, bumbum, chin and chest. I also reviewed the Veet In Shower Hair Removing Cream for my body parts despite epilating my arms and legs.

I bought this in Watson, KLCC (Malaysia) with the promotion price of RM20.80 .
The package comes with a lotion- Palmer's Shea Butter Formula.

This is how it looks like when you open the box

It comes with a spatula(?)(They called it spatula) and a tube of cream.

This is a mini version of their Shea Butter Formula Lotion

Basically, all you need to do is to apply the cream to your face and leave it for at least 4 minutes but never over 5 minutes. Then remove it.
This is the direction from the packaging and the little paper from the box.
"Wet area thoroughly where hair needs to be removed. Apply evenly with brush over hair, covering completely. Do not rub it in. Leave on for 4 minutes (maximum 5 minutes). Remove with spatula or washcloth. Rinse thoroughly. Pat dry."

Now... Its a really bad idea to follow the instructions because..

That's basically me after using it all over my face.
I tested it on a small part before but it was all right.
My skin was burning with pain.
When I touch it, it felt like a layer of my skin was burnt off.
It also felt dry and stingy.

And I even got some burn marks.
A disaster, I know but what are my solutions to get rid of this blushing chipmunk face?
These two babies.

I finally realised why they are having it on sale with a small tube of lotion.
BECAUSE IT STINGS. (and also stinks)
This is what I did starting from the moment I freaked out by the result.

Day 1:
-(Noon)Wash face 3 times then apply lotion.
- Minutes later, wash face again because skin feels itchy (healing) and apply lotion again
-(Afternoon) Wash it again and apply aloe vera but realise that it stings more but ignoring it
-(Evening) Wash face again and apply more aloe vera
-(Night) Wash face again and apply even more aloe vera
-(Midnight) Wash face and apply lotion.
Proceed to the next day.

Day 2-4:
-After waking, apply lotion
-Before sleep, apply lotion

Day 5:
... decided to try it again.
This time, I didn't follow the instructions.
____________________________________________________
What I did was:
*Without washing my face, I left it quite oily
*Divided my face into parts*
*Apply the cream with the brush that connects to the cap on a selected part. (partA)
*Leave it in between 30seconds - 1minute
*While doing so, I apply cream on the part of the other side of the face. (partB)
*Quickly remove cream on PartA
*Moderately remove cream on PartB

Note:
Maximum time is 1 minute and 30 seconds.
DO NOT BE HARSH TO SKIN.
Always be quick enough.

And here's me after using the hair removing cream for the second time.
I did not use it on parts where my pores are more sensitive.
(Between brows, cheeks, acne area)

My skin will still have some chemical reaction towards the cream.
However, I had successfully minimised the reaction.
HURRAH!

And here's the burn marks after using the lotion.
It looks better than before in just 5 days :D
(Notice my chin? The pores there are quite sensitive and I had acne there before :(
The skin there had also darkened, which is a total booooo.)
Ps: I have a short chin, so it makes me look like I have double chin.

Review| Veet In Shower for Dry Skin

Suffering from excessive hair in parts where a female will not have hair growing there is actually quite embarrassing. These places are usually the chest, tummy, back, neck and bumbum. There's a medical sign for this and it is called Hirsutism.

Now, I'm not sure if my medical report would say "Hirsutism: Positive" or not, but having excessing hair is REALLY embarrassing. It makes you feel less womanly-like.

I have hair on my shoulder, neck, chin and back which makes me feel less-likely to wear clothings that are quite exposing (singlets, bare-backs, etc). So to 'shave' it off, I used Veet Hair Removing Cream - In Shower.
Got this from the drugstore Guardian, KLCC (Malaysia) for RM22.90 .
The package comes with a sponge and a tube of cream.

Do note that: This is not for sensitive parts such as vajayjay, bumbum hole, face, head and other very sensitive body parts.

Because I usually epilate my arms and legs instead, I use this to remove hair which my arms usually cannot reach.

All you need to do is to apply evenly with the coloured part of the sponge and leave it for at least 1 minute without touching water. Using it other side of the sponge with circular motion, roll it off after 3 minutes and then wash it away. You're done. Just make sure you don't leave it for over 6 minutes and wash thoroughly without leaving any residue on your skin.

I give this a 4 out of 5 Stars.
  • It works well but doesn't really last long for me. (Probably because of my hair growth rate)
  • It's not too strong for the skin and when it contacts some small wounds(scratches or minor injury) it only tingles instead of stinging it.
  • The smell is not quite pleasant for the first time but it is bearable for the next continuing sessions. (A LOT better than the Palmer's face hair removing cream)
  • This tube can probably last about 2 - 3 months at least.

I am also doing a review for face hair removing cream.
If you'd like to see it, be sure to check it out :)

DIY | Homemade Mc Flurry

Hello there :)

This post here is about making your own Mc Flurry ice cream, doesn't matter if you wanna eat it with Oreo or M&M, this simple recipe could satisfy your desire towards McFlurry without paying too much.

I remember McFlurry was once less than RM3 and that was the time when they offer a bigger portion with a bigger cup. Now, they are selling a smaller portion of Mc Flurry in a smaller cup (about one small bowl of it) at the price about RM3.50 - RM5, which is insane!

I can actually make bowls of McFlurry Oreo without paying so much :)
All I need is just any sort of Vanilla Ice Cream, any sort of normal milk and some oreo crumbs.

I bought a tub of Magnolia Vanilla Ice Cream for RM8.80, milk is about (RM6 but let say I need only a small portion of it) RM2 and a pack of chocolate sandwich biscuits for around RM2.80 (cream-o ) to RM4 (oreo).
Adding them together and the whole thing will cost me about RM13.60 - RM14.80.
With that, I can make around 6 bowls of Mc Flurry Oreo, which costs me around RM2.37 per bowl.

So how did I make it?
I take a bowl of ice cream, adding 1 to 4 teaspoon of milk (depending on the texture of the ice cream that I want it to be) and then I add oreo crumbs.
Easy as that :D

Just take any amount of ice cream you like, add in some milk and any amount of oreo and tadaa! you have your own a McFlurry.

So yeah, that's how you make it :)
Go and have fun making your own ice cream and that's pretty much all for this post .
