Throughout the year 2018, Althea has been releasing products that worked well for many people. Let's go through one by one briefly to find out what are the qualities and functionalities of each product. If you haven't got an Althea account, sign up through my link to get some cool discounts!

Althea Bare Essentials
The Bare Essentials series are the first skin care products from Althea. Their goal is to simplify skincare routine whilst offering as much quality as a 5-step/7-step routine (without eye cream) would provide. They effectively cleanse, hydrate and provide results with minimum effort. The Bare Essentials set consist of a cleanser, toner and moisturizer. All of them smell pleasant and doesn't smell like cheap chemicals. They used a lot of natural ingredients and patterned formula for these products.
Contour Cleanser
An effective cleanser that can last up to 6-8 months when used efficiently. A tiny amount can create a lot of bubbles yet its foam does not dry/tighten up the skin after rinsing off. My skin felt fresh and ready for the day whenever I used this. After-use feeling consists of breeze minty sensation and smooth skin.
Primer Water Toner
This toner water helps to reduce bloatiness. It can last up to 6-8 months and it can be used without cotton pads. The bottle is easily squeezed without much effort. It has a semi-gel texture but it flows smoothly. The main idea is to prep the skin for the next move. It is very quickly absorbed into my skin and my skin felt supple after using it.
Fixer Cream Moisturizer
The moisturizer is semi-liquid cream-based and works well with most skin types. It gets absorbed into the skin slightly slower than the toner. Some people may find their skin a little tacky after use. In my case, it was fine. One tube can last about 4 months.
In this entire set, my favourite is always the cleanser and toner. The moisturizer still has space for improvement. By the way, buy a whole set to get 10% discount!

Real Fresh Skin Detoxer
Set to break the traditional standards from masks, Real Skin Fresh Detoxer was made to pamper and cleanse your skin with just 10 seconds of processing time! It was essentially made for those who have a busy lifestyle and precious minutes. One can apply a (thin) layer to their skin, wait for 10 seconds and rinse it off with water. Before rinsing off, you can wet your hands and massage your skin to activate bubble and turn the mask into a secondary cleanser. It comes with two flavours: Rose (morning routine; with real May Rose petal) and Green Tea (night routine; with real Jeju green tea leaves).
Rose & Green Tea
Both are moisturizing and helps the skin to purify. Some people would suggest Rose for those with sensitive skin as Green Tea can be a little bit more drying (due to higher purifying levels). I personally prefer to use it once per week or once per 2 weeks. It usually helps me to speed up my skin pampering needs and process while it's secondary cleansing function helps to ease my mind since it effectively removes makeup residue and dirt.

Petal Velvet Sunaway
Sunaway is their first sunblock and it contains Damask Rose extract which contributes to the amazing aroma and hydration. This product also has very high sunlight protection at SPF 50 + PA ++++. It has micro-particles that help with sebum control.
The after-use feeling that this product gave me was a very smooth and velvet-like texture on my skin and it is so lightweight that it felt like I didn't use any base products on my skin at all. This product also works very well as a prepping-base for makeup which helps my foundation to stay put longer than usual due to their sebum control. It does not cause any white cast, which means I won't look like a walking zombie. It also does not cause any greasiness on my skin. At the end of the day, my skin was still smooth and velvety as ever.

Petal Velvet Powder
Althea's first ever self-branded product was Petal Velvet Powder in Translucent #0 and Warm Beige #23, released in the year of 2017. They were infused with oil from Althea seeds and has superfine particles which helps to control sebum without drying out the skin while giving the skin a radiant and fresh look. In conjunction with their 3rd anniversary this year, they had released a limited edition of Petal Velvet Powder in Pink Lavender which was sold out at the end of the year. The after-use of the powder leaves the skin with velvet touch and kept the makeup set in place for long hours. Did I mention that the transparent powder doesn't make you look like a zombie after patting a lot on your skin? No? Oh, okay. Guess you know now 😆

Milk Peel Cream Mask (50ml)
Althea's November addition is milk + peeling + bubble + mask + cleanser. It acts as a gentle exfoliator without abrasive ingredients to help to remove dead skin while preventing flakiness. It contains AHA/BHA extracts, Casein Protein (milk) and Kaolin. All these are gentle for the skin while de-clog pores, moisturizing, detoxifying, and purifying the skin.
This product is fairly easy to use. All you need to do is to apply a layer after damping your skin with water and then wait for 30-60 minutes. The clay-like mask will slowly start to form bubbles and you can rinse it off with water. This product is gentle to my eczema-prone skin and it does not cause any irritations at all. It's so gentle that you can use it every single day but I would prefer once per 3 days since it gives time for the skin to rejuvenate and produce dead skin.

Stay Fresh Body Sparkling Mist
For a smell/fragrance-sensitive person, this product is actually very pleasant to my nose. It doesn't have the overbearing smell that most perfumes would. With a fruity note, this rosey body mist smells unlike most cringy rose fragrance would. It's also lightweight and not made of glass, which eases up my mind when I need to bring it around for travelling. Not to mention that it doesn't sting my skin at all. The spray nozzle covers a large area and releases tiny particles, which allows me to spray everywhere on my body. Although it doesn't last as long as a perfume would, it tend to last long enough (at least 2 hours in a crowd).

Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser
This product acts like an oil-cleansing except it is not exactly oil-based. It is suitable for people who are sensitive oil-based products, in need of a mild cleanser and moisturizing formula for daily beauty regime. You first need to dampen your face, then massage this product onto your face before rinsing it off with water. It effectively removes most of the makeup on your skin except those that may be really stubborn, such as really-waterproof mascara. I personally suggest using a regular cleanser afterwards for thorough cleansing not because it doesn't work well but because some makeup is just too difficult to remove with just one step.

Flawless Creamy Concealer (6g)

Althea's first concealer product comes in 4 different shades: #01 Vanilla (Pink beige #21) | #02 Ginger (Warm ivory #21) | #03 Honey (Warm peach #23-#25) | #04 Mocha (Deeper yellow #30). I've yet to try this product but I've already heard many great reviews about it. Do give it a try! I'll put up a blog post soon. They currently have a 1+1 or 2+2 promotion too. I've had the privilege to try out all these Althea self-branded products sent to me by Althea Korea (as I am a part of the Althea Angel program) and had never hesitated with trying them on my self whenever I received them. Althea does produce quality-guaranteed items and most of their products include natural ingredients. They stay true and humble to their quality and offers really affordable prices. My favourites are always Bare Essentials set. On the other hand, I personally do recommend their sunblock (Sunaway), 10 seconds gel mask (Real Fresh Skin Detoxer), and their makeup removing cleanser (Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser). I do like the others too!
